The departments of Theater and Dance, and Music, along with the U-Imagine Center for Integrative and Entrepreneurial Studies, join forces in a two-day celebration of Jazz music and dance.
The campus’s first JazzFest will feature an outdoor concert by the UC Jazz Ensemble Friday, April 28 at 5 p.m. (on the Kaleidoscope lawn) and an exciting performance by jazz violinist Diane Monroe (with her quartet), Saturday, April 29 at 3 p.m. (Bomberger Auditorium).
Both days of JazzFest will include the Ursinus College Dance Company concert, featuring the “Roots and Branches of American Jazz Dance,” Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. (Lenfest Theater in the Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Center).
Smaller “pop-up” events will occur in several locations around 5 p.m. Saturday, April 29.
Food trucks will be available for refreshments. A complete list of both days’ events and a campus map will be provided. See the Ursinus web site for more detailed information as the date gets closer.
